アエオニウム：ユキノシタ目ベンケイソウ科マンネングサ亜科アエオニウム属。 伸びた茎の基部にロゼット状に薄めの葉をつけます。 茎に多くの水分を貯蓄しますが、その姿から通常の観葉植物として扱われることも
クラッスラ：ユキノシタ目ベンケイソウ科クラッスラ亜科クラッスラ属。 名前はギリシャ語の「厚い」という意味から取られたそうで、クラッスラ属下の種は ほとんどが多肉性です。豊富な姿形をとります。
カランコエ：ユキノシタ目ベンケイソウ科カランコエ亜科カランコエ属。 アフリカから中近東、中国まで分布しており、 一部の種は鉢植えとしても人気があります。
